Supplier Vetting Checklist
General-purpose checklist MING uses when screening factories — adjust per category and destination market.
- Category fit — Does the factory routinely build this product class (not “we can try”)?
- Manufacturing capability — Key processes in-house vs outsourced; bottleneck processes identified.
- Export experience — Markets shipped; understanding of labeling, manuals, and HS codes.
- Sample responsiveness — Clear timelines, DFM feedback, and change control on EVT samples.
- Quality control process — IQC/IPQC/OQC checkpoints; test fixtures; defect handling.
- Communication quality — Documented specs, English support level, escalation path.
- Compliance readiness — Test reports, traceability for batteries/chips where applicable.
- Risk notes — Warranty scope, firmware update responsibility, after-sales boundaries.
